I have always believed that there is no logic in love. Someone might say, “Why do you like that person? They do this, they’re like that, they’ve said this… why?” Well, there is no logic; you just do. If I approached how I feel about girls with how I logically reason the rest of my life, well… hello… singleness forever. But what is it that this love looks like? I think the picture of what it looks like for God can be a clue.
Is that always a good approach? Well, in the case of Christians it might not always be, for example a relationship between a believer and non-believer. But that’s the only reasoning one must hold themselves account to. If there’s an explicit command from Holy Scripture that the two should not be together then, by all means, we should follow.
If not, it’s all good, baby. There’s no logic in love.
